In 2019, a new 3-year research project called Paris Reinforce was launched, funded by the European Commission and encompassing 17 partners from within Europe and across the world. The project's aim is to understand the potential greenhouse gas emission reduction pathways consistent with the landmark Paris Agreement, in several major economies across the globe.
A key branch of modelling is focused upon the Central Asian and Caspian (CAC) region, and a fundamental element is engagement with key stakeholders. On 9th December, the project held a first stakeholder-workshop focussing upon the region. This second workshop will provide an opportunity for modellers and stakeholders to progress further in their dialogue around the energy and climate evolutions of the CAC region and countries.
Translation into Russian will be provided.
This event was open only to select experts and Bruegel's Membership.
