Two months ago, the European Court of Auditors issued a report on EU supervision of banks’ credit risk, in which it formulated pointed criticism of the performance of European banking supervision led by the ECB (https://www.eca.europa.eu/en/publications?ref=SR-2023-12).
The session will allow a better understanding of the Court’s findings and recommendations and of the responses from ECB banking supervision. The discussion will be introduced by Mihails Kozlovs, member of the Court and Dean of its Fourth Chamber, and will also be attended by Edouard Fernandez-Bollo, member on the Supervisory Board at the ECB.
