Montserrat Gomendio

Prof. Gomendio has spent her professional career as a dedicated researcher, with a wide spectrum of interests including education, ed-tech, digitalization's impact on labor markets, political reforms, and biology. She began her career in the field of biology at the University of Cambridge and the Spanish Research Council (CSIC).From 2012 - 2015 Prof. Gomendio was a Secretary of State for Education, Vocational Training and Universities at the Spanish Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports.

She joined OECD in 2015 where she worked first as Deputy Director for Education and then as Head of the OECD Centre for Skills until 2019.

Currently she is a Visiting Professor at the Institute of Education UCL and a research professor at Spanish Council for Scientific Research.
