A fresh perspective on EU-Turkey relations: still a possibility?
Examining the mutual benefits of a EU-Turkey customs union.
EU-Turkey relations have been challenging, especially when it comes to accession negotiations. The political obstacles remain numerous and burdensome at times. Amidst political crises and a much needed economic connection, a question arises: is instability the ‘new normal’ for this relationship?
In order to address a number of issues around Turkey-EU relations, we are bringing together experts to form a policy-driven round table discussion. Aiming towards practical steps and solutions, the discussion will offer participants the possibility to discuss Turkey-EU relations, mainly focusing on Customs Union revision.
This event is open only to Bruegel’s members and select invitees.
