European Commissioner for Home Affairs
Before becoming European Commissioner Ylva Johansson was Swedish Minister for Employment and Integration. She has also been a Member of Parliament (2006-2014), Minister for Health and Elderly Care (2004-2006) and Minister for Schools (1994-1996). She has held key positions in the Swedish parliament as Deputy Leader of the Social Affairs Committee and the Labour Market Committee. She has also worked for Telia Business Innovation, the education company Att Veta AB and as a teacher.
