Malika Laasri Lahou

Prior to joining EFE-Maroc, Malika served as the Deputy Director General of the Millennium Challenge Compact Morocco since November 2008. Malika served as a driving force and a strong leader in the direction and management of $700 million MCA/Morocco Program to stimulate economic growth and improve employment in key sectors such as Agriculture, Fisheries, Handicraft, SMEs, Microfinance, Functional Literacy and Vocational Training. Prior to joining MCA/Morocco, Malika functioned as the Youth Program Officer of a United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Country Program in Morocco, where she coordinated all youth-related UNFPA activities at the national level, established effective liaisons between all Program stakeholders, developed and supervised the implementation of strategic plans, and monitored major progress indicators. She has an additional nine years of experience managing development projects with USAID and John Snow, Inc. in partnership with the Moroccan government, NGOs, and major donors.
