European Air Quality and EU Air Quality Funding
An analytical research programme focusing on the EU’s air quality funding and the effectiveness of its national implementation among EU Member states
Bruegel’s Air Quality programme investigates historic EU spending on air quality investments and the limitations in its deployment at national level, notably in the field of green heating and transportation.
The research project aims to provide policy recommendations on how to better mobilize EU’s funds for deployment of air quality measures across EU Member States in the context of the EU’s ongoing legislative revision of the Ambient Air Quality Directive.
This stream of work was funded by the Clean Air Fund.
