Michel Houdebine

Chief Economist, French Treasury

Michel Houdebine is Chief Economist of the French treasury since September 2015. He previously occupied various positions at the directorate general of the French Treasury. He was assistant secretary for Public Policies from 2010 till 2015 and deputy assistant secretary in charge of European affairs from 2008 till 2010. He is member of the Conseil d’orientation des retraites, Conseil d’orientation pour l’emploi and the Conseil économique du développement durable. He graduated from Ecole Polytechnique and Ecole Nationale de la Statistique et de l’Administration Economique.
