Laura Bardone, educated at the Catholic University of Milan, joined the Directorate General for Economic and Financial Affairs of the European Commission in 2006. She worked on the Italian desk, also acting as Head of Unit, until 2013; then she was Adviser to the Director of nine Economies of Member States before becoming Head of Unit for Spain and Croatia in May 2015.
She previously worked in the Directorate General for Employment and Social Affairs of the European Commission, the Employment, Education and Social Affairs Directorate of the OECD and Eurostat.
