Cornelia Holthausen is Deputy Director General in the Directorate General Market Operations of the European Central Bank in Frankfurt. She is responsible for a range of issues related to money markets and the operational framework of the Eurosystem, including counterparty and collateral frameworks as well as liquidity management.
Before this, Cornelia was Head of the ECB’s Financial Research Division, leading a team of researchers on financial research topics relevant to central banking. During her 17 years at the ECB, she has worked on the design of central banks’ operational frameworks, money markets, micro- and macro-prudential regulation of the financial sector, and the economics of payments.
