
Atsuko Ueda
Professor, Waseda University,
Atsuko Ueda is a professor of the Faculty of Political Science and Economics at Waseda University, in Tokyo, Japan. She obtained her PhD in Economics from University of Wisconsin – Madison in 1994. She was an assistant professor and a research fellow at University of Tsukuba from 1995 to 2001, and a research fellow at Tokyo Metropolitan University from 1994 to 1995. She studies household behavior in Japan and East Asia applying micro-econometrics. She is currently a board member of Japanese Women Economists Network (J-WEN) to promote women’s involvement in academic community of economics.
