Lara Lázaro

Lara Lázaro Touza holds a PhD from the London School of Economics (LSE), an MSc in Environmental Assessment and Evaluation from the LSE and a BSc in Economics from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid.

Dr. Lara Lázaro Touza is a lecturer in Economic Theory at Centro de Enseñanza Superior Cardenal Cisneros (UCM), an Adjunct Professor of Political Economy of Climate Change at IE School of Global and Public Affairs and Senior Analyst at the Energy and Climate Programme at the Elcano Royal Institute. Her research focuses on climate governance, energy transition and oil spills. Her recent research activity includes an EU-funded H2020 research project called MUSTEC, Market Uptake of Solar Thermal Electricity through Cooperation and a research project funded by the Spanish Ministry of Economy and Business that analyses the impact of China’s Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) on global governance. She has published in journals such as Ecological Economics, Journal of Loss Prevention in the Process Industries, Energy Sources, Part B: Economics, Planning. She has contributed to several edited volumes incuding the Routledge Handbook of EU Security Law and Policy, Edward Elgar’s Handbook of Energy Policy and Edward Elgar’s Europe in an Era of Grouwing Sino-American Competition.
