Elly Schlein

Vice President of the Emilia-Romagna Region,

She was elected in 2014 to the European Parliament, where she worked in the Development Commission on topics of International Cooperation and the ONU 2030 Agenda for Sustainable development (for her commitment she received the 2017 MEP Award). She worked in the Committee of Inquiry on the Panama Papers against tax havens, in the Commission for Gender Equality and in the Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs Commission, where she worked on migration policies and she was the rapporteur for the Socialist and Democratic Group on the reform of the Dublin Regulation. Her mandate ended in 2019. In the January 2020 regional elections, she led the list of Emilia-Romagna Coraggiosa and was elected to the Regional legislative Assembly.
