Sofia Zaharaki
Deputy Spokesperson, Nea Demokratia,
Sofia holds a ΒΑ in English Literature from the University of Athens and a MA in Comparative Education and Management of International Education Organizations.
She worked as a teacher in state and private schools in Greece, as a European Affairs executive in the Ministry of Education and the Secretariat for lifelong learning and youth.
In 2012-2014 she was the European and International Affairs advisor to the Minister of Development and participated in the preparation of the Greek Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
In 2015 she represented Greece in the International Leadership Visitor Programme organized by the State Department in the USA as a scholar in the field of “The role of Private Public Partnerships in restructuring economies”.
Having served as the Director of the Secretariat of Government plan for Nea Demokratia, in August 2016 she was appointed Deputy Spokesperson for the party.
