Raffaela Kihrer

Raffaela Kihrer is Deputy Secretary General and Head of Policy at the European Association for the Education of Adults (EAEA). Since 2022 she has also been a board member and since 2023 elected Secretary General of the European Lifelong Learning Platform (LLLPlatform), which brings together all education sectors at the European level and is the central interlocutor of European civil society with the European institutions in the field of education. She has extensive experience in policy and advocacy in the field of adult learning and education at the European and international levels, with a particular focus on citizenship and development. 

She has studied International Development studies and is also a qualified teacher for secondary and adult education. A passionate learner herself, she takes every opportunity to visit adult learning and education initiatives, especially at the grassroots level - and to consider what is needed so that even more adults can benefit.
