Michala Marcussen

Global Head of Economics, Société Générale, Corporate and Investment Banking

Michala Marcussen joined SG CIB as Global Head of Economics, in December 2009 and heads a team of 25 economists based in Paris, London, Moscow, Warsaw, Prague, New York, Bangalore, Hong Kong, Seoul and Tokyo. She is today a Managing Director and has been with the SG Group since 1994. With over 25 years of experience in the financial industry, Michala is a frequent commentator in the financial press. She has done extensive work on European integration, the long-term economic outlook and pension systems, and maintains ties to academia. Michala holds a Master of Science in Economics from the University of Copenhagen and is a CFA charterholder. Michala is also a member of the SUERF Council of Management
