Magdalena Rzeczkowska

Magdalena Rzeczkowska graduated from the Law and Administration Faculty, Warsaw University (1998) and postgraduate studies in European integration at the same  University - European Centre (2001). Between 1998-2002, she worked at the Central Office of Customs, and since 2002, has worked at the Ministry of Finance. In 2020, appointed Secretary of State at the Ministry of Finance and the Head of the National Fiscal Administration. She took an active part in the process of Poland's accession to the European Union, co-creating  the Customs Law and implementing regulations. In 2016, she coordinated the implementation of the new EU Customs Code. For over more than 20 years of professional work, she initiated and coordinated the process of introducing the number of legal and organisational solutions supporting the activities of entrepreneurs involved in the international trade in goods. She was also responsible for the  electronic handling of customs - 100% of customs declarations are done electronically. On her initiative, innovative legal solutions were introduced with regard to the mode of conducting proceedings in customs matters. She successfully carried out a reform of customs clearance – implementing the Customs Clearance Centres (CUDO).

Ms. Rzeczkowska was responsible for the introduction of the programme "Customer at the centre of KAS attention", which includes such projects as the e-Tax Office, Auto Return or EUREKA Customs and Fiscal Information System. She carried out the implementation of the e-TOLL electronic road toll collection system. In April 2022, Magdalena Rzeczkowska was promoted, by the President of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Duda, to the rank of superintendent of the Customs and Fiscal Service in the general corps. In the course of her service she was decorated with, inter alia, a bronze badge "Meritorious for the Customs Service" and was awarded the "Medal of 100 years of Independence".
