Henrik Braconier
Chief Economist and Executive Director Economic Analysis, Finansinspektionen,
Henrik Braconier is Chief Economist and Executive Director for Economic Analysis in the Swedish Financial Services Authority (Finansinspektionen). He joined the FSA in 2014. Mr Braconier leads the FSAs work on financial stability and is a member of the Swedish Financial Stability Council.
Prior to joining the FSA, Mr Braconier worked as a Senior Economist in the Economics Department at the OECD between 2009 and 2014. There he lead projects on a wide variety of issues, including a task force on long-term global policy challenges concluded in 2014.
Mr Braconier has held different positions in the Swedish government, including being Director and Head of Forecasting at the Swedish Ministry of Finance between 2004 and 2009. In this capacity he also served in the Minister of Finances policy group 2006 to 2009. Prior to joining the Swedish government he held various academic positions in Stockholm, Milan and Lund.
Mr Braconier holds a PhD in Economics from Lund University, where he also conducted most of his undergraduate studies.
