Fredrik Bystedt

Head of Committee on Potential Participation in the European Banking Union

Fredrik Bystedt served on the Inquiry on potential Swedish participation in the banking union as Principle Secretary (head of secretariat). He has previously worked at the Ministry of Finance, including as head of the Economic Affairs Department and the Department for Financial Markets and Institutions. He has been head of delegation to the Financial Services Committee (FSC) and the Economic Policy Committee (EPC) as well as chair of the EFC‑EPC joint working group on the economic and financial aspects of climate change. Fredrik Bystedt holds a licentiate in Economics from Uppsala University.
