Pablo de Ramón-Laca

Chair, Economic and Financial Committee sub-committee on EU Sovereign Debts Markets, European Commission


Pablo de Ramón-Laca is the Chair of the Economic and Financial Committee's sub-committee on EU Sovereign Debts Markets of the European Commission. He was appointed Head of Funding and Debt Management at the Spanish Treasury in November 2013, a team he joined in September 2008. Since November 2018, he is also a Member of the Management Board of Instituto de Crédito Oficial (ICO). Before joining the Spanish Treasury, he worked as an economist in the Bank of England's Financial Crisis Management Department.

Mr de Ramón-Laca holds a BA (Hons) degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from the University of Oxford, an MSc in Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and is a member of Spain's Senior Civil Service Corps of State Economists and Trade Specialists.
