Ilaria Maselli

Vice President of the Board of Directors, Visit Brussels,

Ilaria Maselli is the Vice President of the Board of Directors of Visit Brussels, the tourism promotion agency of the Brussels region. In her activist life, she also chairs the local branch of Partito Democratico and is behind several initiatives to engage Europeans into Brussels politics, such as I Vote Where I Live.

Between 2007 and 2016, Maselli worked at the Centre for European Policy Studies (CEPS), where she conducted groundbreaking research on the feasibility of a European unemployment benefit scheme, and performed innovative research on the gig economy. Currently is the senior economist for Europe at The Conference Board, where she monitors the business cycle of the European economy and is responsible for research in Europe, with a focus on global value chains and labor markets. She holds a master’s degree in European Studies from the University of Bologna and undertook further training in economics at the University of Leuven.
