Yuko Kawai
General Manager for Europe and Chief Representative in London, Bank of Japan,
Yuko Kawai is the General Manager for Europe for Bank of Japan, in charge of research of economies and financial market/industry developments in Europe, Middle East and Africa. She also had served as the Head of FinTech center, Foreign Exchange Division, Hong Kong office and taken other various roles related to the financial markets and/or the financial industry.
Prior to joining the Bank, she had worked in JPMorgan/Chase/Chemical bank group trading various financial market products, and subsequently in RPTech, an independent think tank, as a research director.
She received an MBA from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania and an LL.B from Kyoto University.
