Tomas is an Expert in the Cabinet of European Commissioner for Energy and Housing, Dan Jørgensen, where he is responsible for the EU's external energy relations including bilateral relations with large energy suppliers to the EU, energy partnerships as well as energy in the G20, G7 and COP-contexts. Tomas was the Climate Ambassador for Denmark from 2020-2024 and previously served as Denmark’s ambassador to Egypt and Iran. He also served multilaterally at the UN as Senior Adviser to Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and as Chef de Cabinet to two Presidents of the UN General Assembly.
