Théo Storella
Théo Storella is a Research Analyst at Bruegel specialising in China’s political economy and its implications for Europe.
He contributes to Bruegel’s research programmes on global economics, European Union–China relations and strategic competitiveness. His research focuses on China’s economic statecraft, outward investment and role in global governance. He has co-authored analyses on EU business sentiment in China, Chinese anti-dumping investigations, global perceptions of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), China’s influence at the United Nations as well as a mixed-methods study of Chinese health aid under the BRI. Théo also manages Bruegel’s China Economic Database, tracking more than 180 indicators.
He is available for interviews in English, French and Mandarin Chinese.
Théo holds master’s degrees in Public Policy from the London School of Economics and Fudan University, and a bachelor’s degree in East Asian Studies and Social Studies from Wesleyan University. He has previously worked in Shanghai, Brussels and the United States across research, policy and international public-affairs roles.
