Peter is the Chair of the Clean Technology Partnerships Initiative and visiting Professor in Practice at the London School of Economics and associate fellow at the Institute for Public Policy Research. Peter was the COP26 CEO from October 2019 to December 2022 prior to which he was the Principal Private Secretary to the UK Prime Minister, Director General for the Prime Minister's Office and Sherpa for the G7 and G20. He has also held roles in the FCDO, Home Office and between 2006-2009 in the Cabinet of the EU Trade Commissioner.
