Matthias Deutsch

Programme Lead Hydrogen, Agora,

Matthias Deutsch leads the hydrogen programme at Agora Energiewende, and he has more than 14 years of experience in the energy sector. His previous work at Agora covered climate-neutrality, power and heat sector coupling as well as storage. For eight years, he worked at Prognos AG, advising companies, industry associations and governmental authorities, with a focus on renewable energy, energy demand and gas grid development. Prior to working for Prognos, Matthias Deutsch has been employed at the Hertie School of Governance and the German Institute for Economic Research in Berlin. He is a graduate engineer in environmental technology (Berlin University of Technology) and holds a PhD in policy studies from the University of Maryland School of Public Policy, USA.
