Deputy Head of the Division “International Climate Finance, Carbon Markets and Transformation Finance” at the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Climate Action, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMUKN)

Malin has been deeply involved in Germany's efforts to support international carbon pricing and markets. At the ministry she is responsible for international carbon markets issues, Art. 6 negotiation under the UNFCCC, and she represents the German DNA. Malin oversees a large portfolio of projects related to capacity building of national carbon pricing schemes and of Article 6 of the Paris. Among other things, Malin is the national focal point for Partnership for Market Readiness (PMI) and she is responsible for the IKI-project Supporting Preparedness for Article 6 Cooperation (SPAR6C). Since 2022 she is a member of the Advisory Board at atmosfair a German non-profit organization. Before she started her carrier at the ministry in 2014, she worked as a scientific expert at the German Emissions Trading Authority (DEHSt). Malin is a degreed engineer of the Technical University of Berlin.
