Mission Chief for the euro area, Assistant Director in the European Department, International Monetary Fund

Malhar Nabar is the IMF’s Mission Chief for the euro area and Assistant Director in the European Department. In this capacity, Malhar leads the IMF team working on euro area policies. Previously, he headed the World Economic Studies division in the IMF's Research Department, leading the team responsible for producing the World Economic Outlook (WEO). Malhar’s IMF experience spans frontier markets (Uganda – Extended Credit Facility program); emerging markets (China, Malaysia); advanced economies and financial centers (Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong SAR, euro area); and multilateral policies (WEO).
