Makfire Alija

Makfire was the Human Resources Advisor at Bruegel until February 2023. She holds a Master of Science degree in Organizational Psychology from the University of London and a Master of Arts degree in International Politics from the Centre Européen de Recherches Internationales et Stratégiques.

Prior to joining Bruegel in June 2018, Makfire worked for different international organizations both in Brussels and in the field. She was responsible for overseeing projects, coordinating organizational operations and managing human resources.

Makfire is a registered Psychologist at the Belgian Commission of Psychologist, member of the British Psychological Society and member of the Belgian Association of Psychotherapists. She practices integrated counselling and coaching as a freelancer.
