
Ľubica Karvašová
Advisor on EU Affairs, Prime Minister's Office, Slovakia
Lubica has served as a Slovak diplomat for more than a decade. She currently holds the position of the first Sherpa (Advisor on EU Affairs) at the Prime Minister’s Office, where she has founded an EU unit. She is a graduate of the University of Economics in Bratislava and the Sorbonne University in Paris. During the first Slovak EU Presidency, Lubica joined the Permanent Representation to the EU in Brussels. She is a Marshall Memorial Fellow at the German Marshall Fund, alumna of Visegrad and EU programmes, including the Aspen Young Leaders Program. In December 2021, Lubica became an awardee of the Aspen Central Europe Leadership Award 2021. These awards are bestowed by Aspen Institute Central Europe annually on young promising leaders for outstanding successes in the domain of responsible active citizenship and value-based leadership with a social impact.
