Jean-Francois Di Meglio
Chair, Steering Committee, Asia Centre in Paris
An alumni of the Ecole Normale Supérieure (Paris) and Beijing University, Jean-François Di Meglio has over 25 years of experience with a major French financial institution, mostly abroad and especially in Asia. Most recently he headed the energy and commodities program in China for BNP Paribas. Jean-François Di Meglio joined Asia Centre in May 2008 and became its president in 2009. He also teaches at SciencesPo Paris and Dauphine University.
Jean-François Di Meglio's publications include"China and the global Financial crisis : a comparison with Europe", Routledge, 2012, co-edited with Pr Jean-Pierre Cabestan, "China's energy sécurity : a multidimensionnel approach" co-edited with Dr Giulio Romano (Routledge, 2016). He is chief editor of Asia Trends, the half-yearly review by Asia Centre and will publish "La diplomatie de jade" at François Bourin, Paris, in 2019.
