Daniel Daianu
Member of the Board, National Bank of Romania,
Daniel Daianu is a professor of economics at the National School of Political and Administrative Studies (SNSPA) in Bucharest, and chairman of the Romanian Economic Society. He is a former finance minister of Romania and former Member of the European Parliament, where he worked extensively on reform of financial market regulation and supervision. His research stints include the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development and the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe. He has been a visiting professor at the University of California (Berkeley and Los Angeles).
