Dr. Christian Mölling is Director of the think tank EDINA (European Defence in a New Age) and Senior Advisor, European Policy Centre. For more than two decades, Christian has conducted research and published on security, strategy, and geopolitics, with a particular focus on defense, armaments, industry, and technology. He advises at the highest levels of German ministries and parliament, as well as partner countries, international organizations, civil society, and private-sector stakeholders.
Before joining setting up EDINA, Christian Mölling held leadership positions at the Bertelsmann Foundation, the German Council on Foreign Relations (DGAP), the German Marshall Fund of the United States (GMF), the German Institute for International and Security Affairs (SWP) in Berlin, and the Center for Security Studies at ETH Zurich. He has been a fellow at the Fondation pour la recherche stratégique (FRS) in Paris, the Royal United Services Institute (RUSI) in London, and the European Union Institute for Security Studies (EUISS) in Paris. His career began at the German Institute for Human Rights and the Institute for Peace Research and Security Policy at the University of Hamburg. Christian studied political science, history and economics at the Universities of Duisburg (Germany) and Warwick (UK). He earned his PhD from Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich
