Brian Lewis

Former Research Intern,

Brian Lewis, an American citizen, worked at Bruegel in 2016 as an intern in the area of Global and European Macroeconomics. He is a candidate for a Bachelor's degree in Economics at Brigham Young University (BYU). Before coming to Bruegel, he worked as a research assistant for Dr. Joseph Price at BYU studying the signaling effects of university research grants on academic outcomes. He has completed econometric term papers analyzing the causes of youth unemployment in the EU and the behavioral outcomes of setting default savings-rates in company pension plans.

Brian's research interests include Macroeconomics, Banking and Finance, and International Monetary Policy.

Brian is fluent in English and Dutch, and has some basic knowledge of Russian and Spanish.
