Antonina Scheer

Policy Fellow – Research Project Lead (Transition Pathway Initiative), Grantham Institute, London School of Economics

Antonina is a Policy Fellow – Research Project Lead on the Transition Pathway Initiative (TPI), an investor-backed initiative that provides asset owners and managers with data on the carbon performance and climate governance of the world’s largest listed companies. She carries out research and analysis on carbon intensive industry sectors, assesses companies’ emissions pathways, and contributes to methodology developments.

Prior to joining the Grantham Research Institute, Antonina interned at the Climate Bonds Initiative, assisting research on green bond issuers’ use of proceeds reporting. She has also worked at the International Renewable Energy Agency, primarily on data collection for long-term electricity system modelling of countries in sub-Saharan Africa. In addition, she has experience working on aquatic invasive species ecology at a research lab, on conflicts surrounding hydroelectric projects at a Panamanian non-profit, and on sustainability initiatives at McGill’s student housing facilities department.

Antonina holds an Honours BSc in Environmental Sciences from McGill University and graduated with Distinction from the MSc in Environmental Change and Management at the University of Oxford. She received the ECM Dissertation Publication Prize in order to publish her research on labour econometrics and Just Transition in Alberta, Canada.
