Annabelle Weisser
Annabelle joined Bruegel in October 2025. As a Programme Officer, she coordinates Energy and Climate programme projects. She holds a Master of European Public Policy from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) in Bologna, Italy, and a Master of Arts in North American Studies from the Free University in Berlin, Germany. She has a strong interest in geopolitics and European integration.
Prior to joining Bruegel, she was a public affairs manager at Bertelsmann, where she worked on media and tech policy at the EU and German level. During her studies, she was an assistant to former EU Director-General for Enlargement Michael Leigh, now a professor at SAIS. She also held positions at the American Chamber of Commerce in Germany and the US Embassy to Germany.
Annabelle speaks English, German and some Italian.
