Alain Quinet
Alain Quinet, an Inspecteur Général des Finances, has worked as an economist in various French public institutions, including the Ministry of Finance, the Banque de France, the Prime Minister’s Office, and the Caisse des Dépôts. He is currently SNCF Réseau’s General Director for Regulation and Strategy. He is also a Professor of Economics at the Académie de Saint-Cyr Coëtquidan and a Research Fellow at the IHEDN (Defence Economics Chair). He has written articles and official reports on climate change mitigation and carbon pricing, cost-benefit analysis and defence economics. In 2024, he received the Turgot and French Economic Association Awards for his latest book, War Economics (Economica).
