Admir Šahmanović

Admir Šahmanović is Minister of Energy and Mining in the Government of Montenegro since April 2025.

He has been actively involved in the EU accession process, serving as member and Head of Negotiating Working Groups for Chapters 14 (Transport Policy), 15 (Energy), 22 (Regional Policy and Coordination of Structural Instruments), 27 (Environment and Climate Action), as well as the Special Group for Public Administration Reform.

His knowledge and experience have been acquired through education and professional engagements both domestically and internationally, working on numerous projects in cooperation with international organizations.

He has participated as a panelist and lecturer at numerous conferences, seminars, and training programs.

He holds a Master’s degree in Financial Management.

He speaks English, Dutch, and German.

He was born in 1985. He is married and has two children.
