Roberta Pierfederici

Policy Analyst and Research Adviser to Professor Stern, Grantham Institute, London School of Economics

Roberta Pierfederici is a research adviser at the London School of Economics (LSE), where she works for the Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment since January 2020. She is responsible for producing policy-related research under the guidance of Professor Stern. Is this position she has produced reports and research outputs for a number of institutions, including the G7, the World Economic Forum and the UK Climate Change Committee, covering subjects related to climate change risks, finance for net-zero and Climate Clubs.

Prior to joining the Grantham Research Institute, Roberta worked at IDDRI/Sciences Po in Paris as Senior Research Fellow, focusing on low-carbon transition pathways, as well as on capacity building for the implementation of the Paris Agreement in developing countries. She also worked as a Researcher at the Grantham Institute at Imperial College London and at Fondazione Eni Enrico Mattei (FEEM), where she used CGE modelling to estimate the economic impacts of climate change.

Roberta holds a MSc (cum laude) in Economic modelling and Statistics and a BSc (cum laude) in Economic Development and Environmental Economics.
