Krzysztof Trepczynski

Counsellor, Ministry of Economic Development and Technology, Poland

Born on 11 January 1956 in Warsaw. Graduated from the Institute of International Relations in 1979. Civil Servant from 1979 dealing with foreign trade and commercial policy issues. In 1989-1993 Head of the Polish Commercial Counsellor’s Office in Baghdad (Iraq). From 1995 to 1999 Head of the Economic Section of the Polish Representation to the European Union in Brussels.

Engaged in Poland’s Accession Negotiations with the EU. Before April 2005 Deputy Director in the Ministry of Economy in Warsaw responsible for trade policy, Polish Representative to the EU 133 Committee on the Deputy level and to the OECD Trade Committee. In 1999- 2005 Deputy Chairman of the Board of Supervisors representing the Treasury in the foreign trade company “Cenzin. Ltd.”

Since April 2005 Minister-Counsellor and Head of the Economic Department of the Polish Embassy in London. In January 2011 transferred to Geneva as Minister-Counsellor and Permanent Representative of Poland to the WTO. From March 2015 back in Warsaw working in the government administration in the field of international trade.
