Fayyaz Muneer
Deputy Director for Green Finance and Prudential Policy, HM Treasury
Fayyaz Muneer leads the Green and Prudential team in HM Treasury, covering green finance (including the UK’s work on disclosures and taxonomy) and prudential policy (covering the Basel standards for banks and investment firms). He has been at the Treasury for nine years, and has previous experience working on climate change, business lending and fintech, tax strategy, and digital infrastructure.
He holds a Master’s degree in Social Policy from the London School of Economics and a Bachelor’s degree in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from the University of Oxford.
