Peter Bøegh-Nielsen, PhD, chief consultant, former head of division for Structural Business Statistics, Statistics on Globalisation, Entrepreneurship, Information Society, R&D and Innovation in Statistics Denmark. Peter Bøegh Nielsen is currently in charge of establishing a Business Statistics Datawarehouse as part of the Danish research infrastructure program and has been coordinator of several international projects on globalisation, innovation and entrepreneurship utilising firm level data. He has been member of the UN expert group on International Trade and Economic Globalization Statistics (ITEGS) 2016-2018 and member of the Bureau of the OECD Working Party on Globalisation of Industry 2010 – 2016, chairman of the bureau of the United Nations city group: Voorburg Group on Service Statistics 1998 to 2002 and chairman of OECD’s Working Party on Indicators on the Information Society 2002-2003. Peter Bøegh Nielsen has published several articles and papers on business statistics, especially globalisation, entrepreneurship and information society statistics.
