Jérôme Delpech

Transformation Leader, Global Transformation, Sanofi,

Jerome Delpech is currently transformation leader at Sanofi Global Transformation Office, after having overseen CAP20 program coordination.

He has a strong M&A background. He recently led the 2 x 11.4bn€ swap of Sanofi’s Animal Health (Merial) against Boehringer Ingelheim’s Consumer Healthcare and was instrumental in the 19.3bn$ acquisition of the US biotech Genzyme in 2011.

In his 17 years tenure at Sanofi he held diverse roles across various areas in Strategy & Business Development, Corporate HR and Pharma Operations.

He started his career in the French administration and was for 7 years head of sector at the Prime minister’s General Secretariat for European Affairs (SGAE), in charge of interministerial coordination in the fields of free movement of goods, research, energy, state aids and competition. Later he became the chief of staff to the minister of industry between 1987 and 2002.

He graduated from Ecole Polytechnique and Mines Paris Tech.
