Pierre Beynet

Head of division, OECD Economics Department,

Pierre Beynet is Head of Division in the Economics Department of the O.E.C.D (Organisation for Cooperation and Economic Development) since 2008. His division is in charge of producing OECD economic surveys for several European OECD countries, including the European Union and the Euro Area. Pierre Beynet started his career in the Treasury Department of the French Ministry of Finance, where he held various economist positions before being promoted to division chief. He also worked at the International Monetary Fund (Washington D.C.) from 2001 to 2003 in the Policy Development and Review Department. In parallel to his work, Pierre Beynet has been lecturing economics at ENSAE, HEC and Sciences Po, Paris. His main fields of expertise are international macro-economics and public finance. Pierre Beynet holds a Master’s degree in Statistics and Economics from the Ecole Nationale de la Statistique et de l’Administration Economique (ENSAE, Paris) and a Master’s degree in Public Policy from the Institut d’Etudes Politiques (Sciences Po, Paris).
