George Christou

Professor of European Politics and Security, University of Warwick,

George Christou has been at the University of Warwick, UK since 2005 where he is now Professor of European Politics and Security. He has published widely on European Politics and Security and participated in a number of EU, NATO-ACT and UK-funded security-related projects over the past fifteen years. He has participated as a member of the EU’s NIS public private platform (WG3), with specific work on Education and Cybersecurity, is a member of the EC3 academic advisory network, and contributed as an invited expert to the Commission’s Scientific Advisory Mechanism Report on Cybersecurity in the Digital Single Market. He is also a Senior Associate Fellow of the UK Cyber Policy Centre, a member of the Global Internet Policy Observatory (GIPO, European Commission) Advisory Group, and a member of the Information Assurance and Advisory Council (UK) Academic Liaison Panel. His latest published monograph is: The European Union and Cybersecurity: Adaptation and Resilience in Governance Policy (Palgrave Macmillan, 2016); and latest article: ‘The Challenges of Cybercrime in the European Union’ (2018, published in the journal European Politics and Society).
