Youth UP Europe: transforming the migration narrative
This joint Bruegel - European Youth Forum event will discuss how we can shift the narrative of migration to a more positive one ahead of the European elections next year?
Increased public attention on migration and refugees has fuelled divisive political discourse. Despite numerous inspiring initiatives striving for inclusion, the political narrative often dehumanises migrants, turning them into a security threat.
The question of immigration will undoubtedly be of great impact for the upcoming European elections next year. As part of the joint series of Youth-up events Bruegel and the European Youth Forum invite young people, policy makers and researchers to discuss how improving the perception of migration and the inclusion of migrants can create a positive impact on our societies.
