Workshop on green growth
Reconciling carbon reductions with economic growth has received significant attention from policymakers. The EU2020 strategy highlights decoupling economic growth from the use of resources. Some observers go beyond decoupling to argue that emissions reductions can drive growth through investment and innovation. Whether these claims have strong foundations remains controversial. On March 28, BRUEGEL will convene a workshop on "Green Growth" that will consider what policies, in what circumstances, may create conditions in which the drive for emissions reductions can contribute to economic growth.
The event will take place on 28 March 2011 from 14:00-17:00 at Bruegel’s offices, Rue de la Charité 33, 1210 Brussels.
