Towards a European industrial renaissance?

An open-minded debate on the future of industry in Europe, hearing the perspective of European business leaders.

Date: February 12, 2021, 9:30 am Topic: Innovation & Competition Policy

LIVESTREAM AND O&A

Bruegel · Towards a European industrial renaissance?

Policy makers intensely debate the contours of the EU’s industrial policy and how it could be “updated’. How to take account of mega trends of digitalisation and climate change? How to deal with competition from new actors and countries? How to deal with declining demographics and their implications for innovation? What are the geopolitical implications of industrial policy?

At this event, we held an open-minded debate on the future of industry in Europe, hearing the perspective of European business leaders. Our Director, Guntram Wolff, moderated an exchange between European business leaders of Accenture, ENGIE and Vodafone.
