Making low-carbon technology support smarter
Combating climate change on the global level will be much easier when abundant low-carbon technologies that are competitive in their cost and capabilities become available. But how can we encourage private companies to invest in low-carbon innovation?
At this event Georg Zachmann presented his latest Policy Brief, Making low-carbon technology support smarter. There are various approaches to supporting innovation in low-carbon technologies, but what is the most effective policy mix? In his paper, Georg analyses the approaches and provides four recommendations for making low-carbon technology support smarter.
The presentation was followed by comments from DG ENERGY’s Anne Houtman and Marcus Franken from e.on, and then an open discussion with the audience, chaired by Sara Stefanini of Politico.
