Germany: outperformer in times of crisis, but major challenges ahead

The German economy is predicted to expand in 2014, but still faces many challenges in the medium to long term. The presentation at thios event will begin by a short overview of the forces driving the anticipated upswing of the German economy next year and will the discuss the challenges Germany will have to cope with in the longer term. These include the overall weakness in fixed capital formation, the demografic challenge and its implications on the labour force, education and innovation as well as the needs for federal reform.
